Thomia Thompson, LMHC

Mia is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Clinical Director of Renewed Integrative Counseling, bringing over a decade of counseling experience
and 25+ years in Christian ministry.
She works with children, adolescents, adults, and families using evidence-based methods like CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, EMDR, Play Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), where she also serves as a Master Trainer. Mia offers Biblically Informed care and is certified in SYMBIS and Level 2 Gottman Therapy.

Jamila Tippit, R-MFTI
Jamila serves as the Site Lead Clinician for Renewed Integrative Counseling's Lakeland Office and is a compassionate Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with over eight years of counseling experience. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and General Family Therapy. She supports children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families using a family-systems approach grounded in CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mind-body techniques.
With a background in outpatient, in-home, school-based, and faith-based counseling, Jamila brings expertise in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, grief, and relationship challenges. Passionate about helping individuals reach their fullest potential, she also facilitates marriage enrichment through her training as an Art of Marriage group leader with Family Life.

Mary Flug, R-MHCI
Mary is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern who recently completed her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She is passionate about walking alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges, using a collaborative and personalized approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Mary provides a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore their thoughts and emotions while discovering how
their story aligns with God’s greater redemption plan.

Jalae is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern with a master’s degree from Southeastern University. She offers a compassionate, patient-centered, and strengths-based approach to empowering her clients. She integrates evidence-based practices—including CBT, TF-CBT, the Gottman Method, and mindfulness—with psychoeducation and a biblical perspective to address both the biochemical and spiritual aspects of well-being.
With expertise in crisis intervention and life transitions, Jalae creates a warm, nurturing environment where clients of all ages can feel
safe, supported, and empowered.

Miah is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern with a master’s in social work from Southeastern University, specializing in working with children through young adults. With experience in foster care settings and crisis intervention in a Baker Act facility, she blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Biblical truth from a client centered, strengths-based perspective.
Miah is determined to create a welcoming, authentic space where
clients feel safe to show up as they are and explore their unique, God-given stories. Her work focuses on supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-esteem, spirituality, anger, and family conflict, empowering them to see themselves as
worthy of healing and redemption.

With experience in mental health care, substance use counseling, and child welfare, she has supported individuals and families through significant transitions and challenges.
Fluent in Spanish, Yanelis takes pride in offering inclusive, culturally sensitive care to diverse populations while helping clients feel seen, supported, and empowered in their healing journey.
